Additionally, major sponsors receive golf for four with an LPGA pro golf clinic and scramble on Tuesday. A full-page advertisement in program booklet, press releases and public radio and local TV announcements are included with major sponsor package.
“ALSTAR is proud to be a new major sponsor and team up with LINKS,” said Dave Thomas, W.C.A. Services Corporation Director of Finance. “As a major sponsor, we can play an important role in leading the community fight against cancer, right here at home.”
Proceeds from LINKS Charity has totaled over a half million dollars with the WCA Hospital Cancer Care Program as its beneficiary. This year’s proceeds will fund a 3-year pledge of $250,000 toward the purchase of a new full field digital mammography imaging system at WCA.
LINKS Charity, established in 1991, was co-founded by Mrs. Mary Blair and Mrs. Sondra Anderson. Their commitment and passion along with benevolent volunteers has realized hundreds of thousands of net proceeds that have benefited the WCA Hospital Cancer Care Program. In 2006, Brian Kupchella, President of Truck-Lite Company, Inc., located in Falconer, New York, agreed to be the lead sponsor for LINKS Charity. He recognized the need to help the WCA Hospital Cancer Care Program as it serves the people in Jamestown and surrounding Chautauqua County area.
“This charity is a fun-filled event with a purpose,” said Bradley VanRiper, Truck-Lite Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer and Co-Executive Director of LINKS Charity. “We are pleased and proud to be a part of an event that brings together so many charitable individuals in support of such a worth-while cause."
