Jamestown, New York (July 12, 2017)— The Jamestown Jammers have major cause for celebration after a record-winning start to its season so they made sure to stop to support some of the tiniest baseball league fans with a visit to the UPMC Chautauqua WCA Nursery.

It was no foul ball accident that the players showed up with J.J. Jammers Mascot onesies so even the littlest enthusiasts and their families could get in the game. Every baby born at UPMC Chautauqua WCA during the baseball season will receive a custom logo onesie.

The players and head coach, Anthony Barone, also spent time visiting with patients and signing autographs.

As a major sponsor of the Jamestown Jammers league, the WCA Sports Medicine is proud to collaborate with the Jammers organization to celebrate babies and families in the Jamestown community.  The hospital’s sports medicine program provides professional diagnosis and treatment of sports related injuries and illnesses in athletes and physically active people of all ages. The WCA Hospital Sports Medicine Program is under the medical direction of Michael Mitchell, MD, fellowship trained primary care sports medicine physician.
