Jamestown, New York, (Wednesday, May 19, 2010)—ALSTAR EMT-CC, Robert Clark’s dedication and stewardship to emergency care has positively influenced the quality of patient care in Chautauqua County and earned him the honor of  the “Lisa Heath Memorial EMT Of The Year Award”.  The award was presented to Mr. Clark by the WCA Hospital Emergency team at an award ceremony held on Wednesday, May 19 at WCA Hospital.

Mr. John Congdon, member of the rescue squad and President of the Randolph Fire Department, received the “Denny Skeels Memorial Distinguished Service Award”.

“These awards represent the best in the profession,” said Emelia Lindquist, R.N., MS, WCA Hospital Emergency Department Nurse Manager.  “We would be solely remiss if we did not take this opportunity to commemorate the dedication and professionalism and years of service of these committed individuals who truly exemplify excellence in their field.  Emergency medical responders are the first ones at the scene of an accident and are an integral part of our emergency care team at WCA Hospital.  It gives us great pleasure to congratulate and reward the outstanding performance of Rob and John, two highly-skilled and compassionate individuals.”

“I want to dedicate my award to my father,” said Rob.  “Both he and my grandfather are my inspiration and I am honored to be a recipient of this distinguished award.”
