WCA OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH SERVICES RELOCATE

Jamestown, New York (Thursday, March, 11, 2010)—On Monday, March 22, 2010, the WCA Hospital Occupational Health Department, one of the region's leaders in occupational medicine services, will relocate their services to Jones Memorial Health Center (a division of WCA Hospital) located at 51 Glasgow Avenue, Jamestown, New York.  The office will be open by appointment Monday through Thursday (except holidays), from 7 a.m. – 4 p.m. and Fridays, 7 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.  Area businesses may schedule appointments for their work force by calling (716) 664-8165.

The WCA Hospital Occupational Health Program has served the local industry since 1983, providing comprehensive occupational medical services and programs.  The new office is staffed by a physician with 25 years of occupational medicine experience, nurses, trained drug screen collectors and support staff who help employers maintain regulatory compliance with OSHA, DOT, and the ADA.

Services at the new location include:  pre-employment physical exams, ongoing health/wellness exams, return to work exams, drug testing, breath alcohol testing, Hepatitis B vaccination, Flu Shots, pulmonary function testing, audiometric screening, tuberculosis testing, electrocardiogram (EKG) and laboratory testing.

Dr. Jacobson received his medical degree at SUNY Buffalo in 1981.  He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the Millard Fillmore Hospital in Buffalo.  He has served as the President of the NY Upstate College of Occupational & Environmental Medicine as well as past Chairman of Medicine at both WCA Hospital and Jamestown General Hospital.

The WCA Hospital Occupational Health program also has an office in Dunkirk, New York, located at the resource Center Building at 186 Lakeshore Drive.  The Dunkirk office is open by appointment on Mondays (except holidays).  Area businesses may schedule appointments for their work force by calling (716) 664-8165.
