This is the fourth time Buffalo Spree has published a list of top doctors in Western New York. Every year, city/regional magazines throughout the United States provide these lists as an important service to their readers. Castle Connolly Medical Ltd. provides the list.

Castle Connolly Medical Ltd., a physician-led team of researchers, followed a rigorous screening process to select top doctors on both the national and regional levels.  Using mail surveys, telephone surveys and electronic ballots, the research team asked board certified physicians and the medical leadership of leading hospitals to nominate highly skilled, exceptional doctors.  Criteria developed by the Castle Connolly research team led to the final selection of those physicians most highly regarded by their peers in each specialty. The criteria used to determine physician eligibility for inclusion in the magazine:  professional qualifications; education, residency, board certification, fellowships; professional reputation, hospital appointment, medical school faculty appointment, and experience.  The physicians are grouped alphabetically by specialty and alphabetically within each specialty.

“It is our mission to always celebrate the best that Western New York has to offer and this includes publishing the Western New York portion of America’s Top Doctors® list so that our readers can take advantage of the valuable resource it offers,” said Barbara E. Macks, Vice President Advertising, Buffalo Spree Publishing, Inc.
