Miller Earns Title of Registered Vascular Technologist

Jamestown, New York (Friday, September 9, 2011)— Roxanne E. Miller, ultrasound staff technologist at WCA Hospital, recently passed the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography examination, with specialty in vascular technology, certifying her as a registered vascular technologist.

The American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) is an independent, nonprofit organization that administers examinations and awards credentials in the areas of diagnostic medical sonography, diagnostic cardiac sonography, vascular interpretation and vascular technology.

Roxanne received an Associate in Applied Sciences from Jamestown Community College and is a graduate of the WCA Hospital School of Radiologic Technology.  She obtained radiological, mammography, diagnostic ultrasound and vascular certification from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography.  Miller joined WCA Hospital in 1984.  Previous to her current employer, she was employed as a radiology staff technologist at Olean General Hospital.

Roxanne is a member of the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers and American Registry of Radiological Technologist.  She serves on the board of directors of the Impact Club.  Roxanne is the recipient of the Axel Carlson Award, given to individuals who have made a significant contribution to the community.  She is the founder and current volunteer executive director of the Relief Zone Community Youth Center, Inc.
