Keynote physician speakers, William Fritz, MD, and Peter Robinson, MD, board-certified orthopedic surgeons, will present prevention strategies, treatment options, and the latest information on joint replacement surgery. The program will conclude with an open question and answer session.

The seminar will include vendor presentations which will begin at 6 p.m., prior to the physician presentations which will start at 7 p.m. The educational seminar is free and open to the public. “Osteoarthritis is the most common joint disorder that can reduce an individual’s quality of life,” says Peter Robinson, MD, highly-skilled and experienced orthopedic surgeon who has performed hundreds of joint replacement surgeries. “Not only is osteoarthritis one of the most common forms of arthritis, but it is considered one of the leading causes of pain and disability, world-wide.

The good news is there are new groundbreaking options that get people back to the things they enjoy in life. Our educational presentation will help individuals better understand the causes of osteoarthritis and the latest available treatment options.”

Preceding the physician program, vendor partners—healthcare professionals from WCA Hospital—will join orthopedic surgeons, Dr. William Fritz and Dr. Peter Robinson, to discuss the newest in joint replacement technologies; 24-hour emergency orthopedic surgical care; alternatives for overcoming pain; physical therapy and occupational therapy options; the patient’s surgical and hospital stay experience; inpatient medical rehabilitation care; display images of joint degeneration; and discuss a variety of discharge planning options. The interactive vendor presentations will be held from 6 p.m. – 7 p.m. in the WCA Auditorium.

“As we age, many of us may experience some type of arthritic pain,” said Dr. William Fritz, who specializes in the management of arthritis, as well as partial and total knee, shoulder and hip replacement surgery. “There are many reasons why individuals experience osteoarthritis. If the pain does not subside in a reasonable amount of time, it is important to consult an orthopedic surgeon for an appropriate evaluation and diagnosis as there are many treatment options available so people do not have to live with the daily pain, which for many individuals, can be excruciating.”
