Frewsburg Students Against Drunk Driving Carry Their Mission To LINKS Pink Walk

WCA Hospital

Lakewood, New York (Monday, November 3, 2014)—High school students from Frewsburg Central High School’s Students Against Drunk Driving (pictured) recently partnered with LINKS Pink Walk in a shared mission to save lives. The students volunteered at the fourth annual LINKS Pink Walk held on Saturday, November 1st at the Chautauqua Mall, by selling popcorn, pink tribute chains, pink solo cups, and more in an effort to raise funds for LINKS Charity toward new state-of-the-art 3D mammography technology at the Center For Imaging at WCA.  “Our mission fits their mission,” said Ericka Alm, SADD advisor at Frewsburg Central School.  “We chose to come alongside this great cause in the fight against breast cancer—a cause that affects one in eight women.  The students had a terrific time and felt the tremendous impact of what it feels like to help one another in an initiative that saves lives.  We will definitely be back next year to help again for an occasion that brought together a community in celebration, courage, and the strength that it takes to overcome breast cancer.”  Also supporting LINKS Pink Walk were students from Southwestern Central High School, Jamestown High School, Falconer High School, and the WCA Hospital School of Radiology students.  To donate to LINKS Charity, call (716) 664-8423 or email  All proceeds stay in the area to support local cancer care.
