“Fight for the Cure” Women’s Kickboxing at JCC to Benefit Local Breast Cancer Care at WCA

The Southern Tier Martial Arts League and AG Combat Sports will host the inaugural “Fight for the Cure” women’s kickboxing event in the Physical Education complex at Jamestown Community College on March 22nd to support local breast cancer care at WCA Hospital. Jamestown, NY (Friday, March 14, 2014)—On Saturday March 22nd, AG Combat Sports will host the inaugural “Fight for the Cure” in the Jamestown Community College Physical Education complex. Under the direction of the Southern Tier Martial Arts League, kickboxing enthusiasts will have a unique fundraising opportunity to help knock out breast cancer and raise money for the support of local breast cancer care at WCA Hospital.

This is a first of its kind benefit event will feature an all-female kickboxing fight card with female athletes from Elmira, Binghamton, Rochester, Watertown, and Syracuse, as well as area fighters from Chautauqua County and Northeastern Pennsylvania. This heart pounding event will open its doors at 5:30 p.m. and the first bell will initiate take place at 6:30 p.m.

WCA Hospital’s Cancer Care Program is renowned for cancer care excellence by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer, and offers services from routine screenings to the diagnosis and treatment of cancer. A portion of the proceeds from “Fight for the Cure” will help WCA Hospital purchase 3D Breast Tomosynthesis to enhance breast cancer screening and diagnosis.
